Some attacks never touch a computer. They aim at you. Each one rushes you, scares
you, or pretends to be a friend. Stay calm and you win every time.
The whole trick, in one line
This is called
when it comes by message, but the
family name is social engineering. It does not break a lock. It talks you into opening
the door. The tools are always the same two: trust ("I am someone you know") and
urgency ("do it right now, do not stop to think").
🧠Here is the secret weakness of the trick: it needs you to act fast. The moment you
slow down and check on a channel you already trust, it falls apart. You are about to face four
of these. Beat all four and you earn the badge.
Trick 1 of 4 · The "tech support" call
Your phone rings. The person sounds official and a little bit worried for you.
📞Caller"Hi, this is support. We found a virus on your computer
right now. I am going to send you a link. Click it fast so we can clean it before it spreads."
💡Real support does not call you out of the blue and rush you to click. The fear and the
hurry are the trick. Hang up. If you want to be sure, look up the company's real number yourself
and call that. A scammer cannot answer a number you found on your own.
Trick 2 of 4 · The "friend" who needs your password
A message pops up from an account with your friend's name and picture.
💬"Maya""Hey it's Maya! I got locked out of my game and support says
a friend can reset it. Can you send me your password real quick? I'll fix it and send it
right back, promise!"
💡A real friend never needs your password, and no real reset works that way. The
account might be your friend's that someone else took over. Do not send the secret. Reach the real
Maya on a channel you already trust, like calling her or talking in person, and ask if it was
really her. Verify the person, not just the name on the screen.
Trick 3 of 4 · "You won! Just pay shipping"
A bright message says you won something you never entered to win.
🎁Message"CONGRATULATIONS! You won a brand new phone! 🎉 To claim it,
just pay $4.99 shipping and enter your card details on this link in the next 10 minutes!"
💡You cannot win a prize you never entered, and a real prize never asks for your card.
The tiny "shipping" fee is bait to get your card number and the countdown is there to stop you
thinking. Do not enter anything. Close it and, if you are curious, check the real company's
official site yourself. A free prize that needs your card is not free.
Trick 4 of 4 · "Your account will be deleted"
An email arrives looking like it is from a service you use.
⚠️Email"URGENT: Your account broke a rule and will be deleted in 1
hour. Click here now and sign in to stop it. Do not tell anyone, this is confidential."
💡"Right now" and "tell no one" are the two biggest warning signs there are. A real
service gives you time and never tells you to keep it a secret from your family. Do not click the
link in the message. Open the app or website the way you normally do, by typing it in yourself,
and check there. And tell a trusted adult. Secrecy is the scammer's friend, not yours.
You read the people, not just the screen
Every trick you just beat used the same playbook. So does your
defense: 1. Notice the rush. Fear and "do it now" are the trick trying to skip your thinking. 2. Never hand over a secret. No real person or company needs your password. 3. Verify on a channel you already trust. Hang up and call back, ask the real friend,
type the website in yourself.

password, your card, a code.
🚩It says keep it quiet. Real help
never asks you to hide it from a trusted adult.
🔒The last lock is you. No firewall and no password can stop you from giving a secret
away if someone talks you into it. That is why the calm human who slows down and checks is the
strongest defense there is. You just became that human.
