An AI just answered a few questions. It sounds totally sure of all of them. Here is the catch.

When an AI states something that sounds right but is actually false, that is called a . The tricky part: it says the made up stuff with the exact same confidence as the true stuff. So you cannot tell which is which just by how sure it sounds.

Your job: for each answer, read the trusted source card next to it, then mark the AI either Trust or Verify. Catch every made up one to earn the badge.

That is a hallucination. The AI did not lie on purpose and it was not broken. It just guesses words that sound right, and sometimes a wrong guess sounds just as smooth as a true one. It never warns you when it is making something up.

The fix is simple: for anything that matters, check it against a before you trust it. Confident does not mean correct.

The three second habit before you trust an AI:
1. Does it matter? Homework, health, money, or facts you will repeat. Then check it.
2. Where can I verify it? A book, an official site, a grown up, two sources that agree.
3. Does the AI show its source? If it cannot point to one, treat the claim as a guess.
