Some things are fine to type into an AI. Some you keep to yourself. Sort each one and find out why.
Where do your words go?
When you type into an AI chat, the words leave your screen. They travel to a big computer somewhere else, and they can be saved there. Real people may read them later to check the AI's work. So the question is not "is the AI nice?" The question is "would I be okay if a stranger saw this?"

What you type can be stored and reviewed. That is normal and useful for fixing the AI.
It also means a chat box is not a diary and not a safe. Keep secrets out of it.

🔑No passwords or logins.
Not yours, not anybody's. A chat box is not where keys go.
🏠No personal details.
Your full name plus home address, your phone, your school, a credit card number. These point
straight back to the real you.
🤐No one else's private stuff.
A friend's secret or a family member's details are not yours to paste. Guard theirs like your own.
Quick test before you type: "Would I be fine if a stranger read this on a big screen?"
If the answer is no, keep it private. Homework, recipes, and riddles pass. Secrets do not.
